Sara's 2020 Dance Recital

Sara participated in De Pere's Pom & Dance program these past 6 months, and they had their dance recital this past Saturday. Sara was able to participate in two separate dances, and I also took a video of the Grand Finale when they all got to come out and take a bow.

Will's First Wrestling Match

Will had an interesting morning today, at his first wrestling tournament. He fought hard and was able to get a win in his first match. Check it out for yourself!

Disney

We finally got to take the family on a trip to Disney! It was an awesome week of pirates, princesses, and Jedi! Make sure to check out all of our adventures here!

Dance Recital 2018

Sara had her dance recital over the weekend. We have some pictures of it up in our March photo album, and here are videos of her two dances. First off is She Drives Me Crazy:

May, June 2017

We have a bunch of new pictures and videos for you to see. Here's the link to May again, since we added a lot of stuff since the last post. Soccer, softball, Mother's day, farm trip, Memorial Day weekend, and on and on. June has been a very busy month as well. Pools, Father's Day, bicycling, and the Spartan Race.

Dance Recital

Sara had her dance recital over the weekend, and was quite photogenic. We added photos from it to our March album (check at the bottom). We were also able to record both of her dances:

Winter and Spring

More pictures and videos for you to view. First is January, with some winter fun and some trips to the dentist. Next is February, with trips to locations cold and warm. Finally there is March, which currently has pictures from our trip to Camp Luther.

We also have some new videos. The first two are parent viewing days with Sara's dance, where we get a second look at Sara's recital dances. The final one is a creation from Technology Night at Sara's school, where we learned about what can be created using some toys, a pizza box, bright green spray paint, and a green screen app for the iPad.

November, December

Boy, do I have a lot of stuff to share with you. Let's start with the photo albums. We were a little late with getting November photos up, but you can view them here now. We also have an album for December, with concerts, wintertime, and Christmas stuff going on.

And now, here are the videos. First is a set from Sara's Christmas concert at school. There were four songs that they sing, and Sara had a speaking part in the middle of it:

For Sara's dance class, parents were given an opportunity to sit in and watch what was going on. They did a performance for us that we were able to record:

Trip to Great Britain

For our tenth anniversary, we decided to take a big trip, and ended up visiting Scotland and England in June. Now we've finally compiled all the pictures and videos we took for you to see. First of all, here is the photo album for you to view. Laura made sure to caption everything to help explain it all. I took a few other panoramic photos to go with it. Here is Caisteal Maol on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Next are the Cliffs of Dover. It was too cloudy to see France from there. Finally, we have a few videos that we took while we were on our trip. First, here is a look at the Fairy Pools on Skye:



Next, we have a few of the heavyweight events from the Highland Games in Ceres. The first one shows the last round of the weight toss for height. The second is from the Ceres Stane, as the champion made an attempt at a record.

Catching Up

So, it looks like it's been quite a while since we put up an update. Quite a lot has happened since February. First, here are the videos that we have. They are from Sara's birthday party, and both children proved to be pretty good at roller skating. Here's the one time I could sort of catch Sara as she was flying by:

January and February Photos

Sorry, forgot about January photos. They are here for you to peruse. We also have February up for your viewing pleasure. And to make up for the long wait, here are some videos of us we have sliding down the hills. We have Will and mommy sliding down Thunderbolt, and Sara taking a turn on her own down the bunny slope.

Christmas Mass signing

Sara volunteered to sing carols with the choir during Christmas mass this year. Here are a few videos we were able to take of it. Be sure to check the December photos as well to see pictures from that and other Christmas festivities. Oh, and it looks like we forgot to post a link to November before, so here it is.

December

There's a whole bunch of things we have to share. First of all, I added a link to the blog for Sara's class to the sidebar, so you can check that out throughout the rest of the school year and see how she's doing. Secondly, here is the link to our December photos. Right now we just have pictures from the Festival of Lights night at Lambeau Field, but I'm certain we'll be adding things as the month goes along. Finally, here are some videos from Sara's Winter Concert this past Tuesday for you to watch and enjoy:

October

Sara started out this month with a dance clinic with the West De Pere High School dance team. She got to practice and learn a routine with them, and then show it off on the football field at halftime of the game. Here's a video that we took of them practicing in the gym before the game, since it's close enough that you can actually see Sara:

There are more picture of her, including her time on the field, in the October photo album. Also currently included in that album is this weekend's adventures in potty training for Will. And I'm sure we'll add Halloween photos to that album eventually.

Sara Riding Her Bike

It took some practice and dedication (and continuing on when Daddy asked even when she didn't want to), but Sara has started to figure out how to ride her bike without training wheels. Here's the visual evidence:

Sara's Dance Recital

Sara started up with dance classes this year, and they had their end-of-year dance recital this Friday. We were able to record videos and take pictures of them. Here is video of her ballet/jazz dance, and here is her tap/jazz routine. The lighting and seating make it somewhat difficult to see Sara in them (especially when the instructors moved her to the other side of the stage for the final performance), so we also have videos from her dress rehearsal ( ballet/jazz / tap/jazz ). The photos from both are now part of our March photo album.

Sara's Winter Concert

Sara and her Kindergarten classmates had a Winter Holiday Concert today, and we're sure everybody would like to see how she did.
