Visit to WI, Take 2

We went back to WI again this past weekend. My grandfather passed away on Thursday, so we flew back for the funeral on Monday. It was sad for us to lose such a great man, but I know he is happy once again, reunited with my grandmother. While we were home, we enjoyed time with the family and I picked up a few more pictures, from this trip and the last and have included them in the February album.

Visit to WI

It has been a while since our last blog post. January was quiet after a busy December. Lots of decorations to clean up an a new routine to establish now that Sara is out of diapers! Yahoo! We did a crash coarse between Christmas and New Years and it went really well. Sure there were a few accidents, but all were expected during the learning experience. She is now diaper free (even at bed time) and we are loving it!

The beginning of February, we traveled to WI for Pam's baby shower. For those of you who didn't know, Pam and Travis are expecting twins (due date 4/2). I don't have any pictures of the shower on my camera, but hopefully I can get a few to post from my mom's camera soon. We did have a few other activities while we were in WI that I was able to capture.

Hope everyone enjoys the photo updates and I'll try to get another post out before March! :)

Christmas in NM!

This has been our first Christmas here in NM. Friday night we went to look at lights around the town. There were a few that were synchronized to music and totally over the top...what fun! Christmas eve, we went to mass and saw Santa before he made his ABQ rounds. Then we came home for a nice dinner, relaxed in the living room watching White Christmas with the tree lights and fireplace a glow, then up to bed for Santa's arrival! Sara must have been a good girl because Santa brought lots of goodies for her to play with. Here are a few pictures from our NM Christmas and it is only 9:30 am! This evening we celebrate the holiday with our neighbors Eric & Lisa. It has been a magical year for us and hopefully for you as well! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas with the NM Yaklins

We celebrated Christmas a little early tonight with Allan, Melissa & Natalie. We enjoyed a great dinner (thank you pinterest!) and a few gifts. Sara is loving the bowling set she got from Uncle Allan & Aunt Melissa right now, and as soon as Santa comes to visit, I think she is going to love the cook book too! Here are a few pictures from the celebration...enjoy!

Christmas Cookie Party

We had a Christmas cookie party tonight. Everyone brought a batch of their favorite Christmas cookie and went home with a wide selection of fantastic treats for the holidays. We had a great time and Sara found a new friend...Sara and Jobin were inseparable all night! Here are just a few pictures from the festivities...enjoy!

Santa!

Santa sits real close to us at church. Tonight after mass, Santa told us that he was going to be staying in ABQ a little longer and would be visiting with the good little boys and girls in the area. Sara was so excited to sit on his lap and told Santa that she would like a candy cane for Christmas. Can she stay like this forever?! Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy!

A Week with Grandparents

With grandparents visiting this past week, there is all sorts of stuff to check out. First of all, check out the December album to see everything that's happened lately.

We also have some videos for you to enjoy. This is Sara demonstrating the proper way to eat spaghetti:

And here she is showing you here scary monster face:

Finger Painting

Sara was wanting to do some finger painting this morning, so I covered the table and her clothes, then let her creativity run wild! Ok, so I may have helped a little with the Christmas tree, but you get the idea. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving, I know we sure did! Thanksgiving was at our house this year. We had family and friends join us for the Packer vs. Lion's game in the morning. Those that stuck around during the kiddo's nap time enjoyed a few rounds of Farkle...Shirley (or as Sara likes to call her 'Sugar') was the big winner when we actually played by the rules. The turkey was only 40 minutes later than expected, so I would call that a success. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. Can't wait to hear your fun stories!
