Midwest Visit

We just got home from a week and a half vacation in the Midwest. In route to our first stop, we had a 5 hour layover in Minneapolis. Not fun for a 30-year-old, wait I mean 3-year-old, so we detoured to the Mall of America to enjoy the afternoon. We had a lot of fun and it was just enough time to see everything of interest to Sara and make it back to MSP in time for our connecting flight to Wisconsin. We spent a few days at a cottage in the north woods with the Weilands. It was nice to spend time together with the whole family and to finally meet Bennett and Sophie! The next stop in our tour of the Midwest brought us to Michigan where we spent the remainder of the trip visiting the Yaklins. We were happy to see many of the extended family members and even took a trip to the lake! We had a great time with both families and made some wonderful memories!

Great family pictures at the cottage, Laura! Did you guys just rent a place or does it belong to someone in the family? Your baby boy looks like he is growing just fine. :)

It is my aunt & uncle's cottage that they let us use for the week. We had a great time together and we were happy to capture a quick family picture or two. The weather cooperated for the most part while we were there...I was nervous that it might be too early in the summer for swimming when we planned this vacation, but I wasn't going to be able to travel much later...already in my 3rd trimester! Yeah!
